I studied architecture at Cambridge (UK) and Harvard (USA), and have been an architect for over 30 years, with experience of designing high-end residential properties across the UK, France and around the world. 

Throughout my career, I have developed a signature talent for unlocking the hidden potential of existing properties. My expertise lies not just in how a room looks, but in how it feels— manipulating space, proportion, and flow to create environments that are both visually breathtaking and effortlessly functional.

After 30 years working in collaboration, I am now working alone, bringing my decades of luxury residential expertise to the Dordogne and broader France. I look forward to working with you to elevate your property into a wonderful home or world-class retreat for rentals.

My Approach

Great design does not require endless meetings—it requires clarity, expertise, and efficiency. I have refined a streamlined process that allows my clients to move from concept to construction swiftly, no matter where they are based.

1. Initial Brief & Survey: Working from your property survey, architectural drawings (if available), and a comprehensive video walkthrough and high-resolution photos, I will analyse the space and discusses your lifestyle or rental goals.

2. Concept & Design Development: I will develop detailed spatial plans, layout options, and design concepts tailored specifically to your brief - these are all reviewed and discussed with you until you are completely satisfied.

3. Builder-Ready Plans: I will then deliver final, precise, professional architectural plans that local builders can easily understand and implement.

4. Optional Site Visits: While remote collaboration keeps projects fast and cost-effective, an on-site visit can be arranged.

My Costs

I have created a pricing schedule that is transparent, flexible, and structured around efficiency. Because my focus is purely on the design, spatial planning, and vision phase, my clients save significantly compared to traditional, open-ended architectural contracts.

  • Day Rate: Ranges from €600 to €1,000 per day, depending on the scale and complexity of the project.

  • Project Turnaround: Most residential design projects are completed efficiently within 3 to 5 days.

  • Travel & Site Visits: If an on-site consultation or property visit is requested, travel and accommodation expenses can be discussed and agreed upon prior to engagement.
